One of my favorite songs of all times. Brilliant acting by Pran compared to the standards of that era. Lyrics always chokes me up if I try to sing along. Sung in a way only Manna Dey can. And what goes unnoticed more often than not is the fact that it was recorded with minimal background music, which is hard to do even for professionals nowadays. Shows you what amazing control Manna Dey had over 'Sur'.

Pran in real life is a poet also, remember hearing his poetry in one of
"superstar concerts" in NJ long time ago his personality easily outshone
all the other "stars" I also heard Danny sing in another
concert at Nassau Coliseum kind of a zen moment there lol
