Password Protecting a Folder

Can someone tell me some good free software for password protecting folders so that others cant access it?

I tried FolderLock, but it is too clumsy

I have cracked version of Folder Lock 5.9.0. I think it is easy to use. U should try it.:smile:

Lock a folder without any software
Here is a trick by which you can lock your private folder without the need of any additional software.

Suppose you want to lock the folder games in d: which has the path D:\Games.In the same drive create a text file and type
ren games games.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}
Now save this text file as loc.bat

create another text file and type in it
ren games.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} games
Now save this text file as key.bat

Now you can see 2 batch files loc and key.Press loc and the folder games will change to control panel and you cannot view its contents.Press key and you will get back your original folder.

Yeah an old trick. Some of the free softwares work on the same script.

i tried AxCrypt, pretty bad
If u ask it to encrypt a folder it actually encrypts all files of the folder using the keyphrase u specify

as per the batch file thing, it is good, but then is lock aur key ko kahan chhupaau :)

My laptop is used by my flatmates too, so just wanted to maintain some discretion, and dont wanna keep in C: or My Docs as they r as unreliable as MS products are :)

Create user profiles...make a guest profile on your lappy with limited privileges...
