I dont know whats wrong in wearing a sari when you know that you are representing your country. What is Sania trying to do project her image as a rebel. But that really sucks!!
Shame on all those who couldnt wear the attire they were asked to...

pencho, this is not a fashion parade, you are representing India and you are supposed to wear an attire that is regulated by olymics association/committee.
I seriousely think sports should not be nationallised unless the nation can do justice to the sports. let the sportsperson bud on their own, though sounds sarcastic, but i think this is the way to go for sports ij india.....sorry to say but sportsman/women dont do anything for their countries but do everything for their personal betterment...and we loosers sit and applause at their achiements(if there is any)

Very true, most of the sporstmen/women do only for themselves. I havent seen any single sportsman do it for a country, although having said that I think I will keep vishy anand apart from this. He has made India proud. I think ppl in india think sports main jao sirf paisa kamao baaki sab g@@n-d marao.

hmmm dunno dint even notice it but I guess wearing something similar to all the guys would have been better but then sum1 would come along and say why they didnt wear this type of saree from this region or that lol all of them looked great best of luck to them and yes its good to have monetary incentive for competitive edge Canada's paying their athletes 20k bonus for any medals won ;)
