A jobless man applied for the position of "Office Boy" at Microsoft.
The HR Manager interviewed him and then watched him cleaning the floor as a
test.
"You are employed" said the Manager. "Give me your e-mail address and
I'll send you the appointment letter as well as the date when you may
start."
The man replied "But I don't have either of an email or a computer."
"I am sorry", said the HR manager, "If you don't have an email, that
means you do not exist. And who doesn't exist, cannot have the job."
The man left with no hope at all and didn't know what to do, with only
$10 in his pocket .After thinking for himself for a while; he went to the
supermarket, bought a 10Kg tomato crate and went out selling the
tomatoes in a door to door round. In less than two hours, he had sold the tomatoes and doubled his capital. He repeated the round three times and returned home in the evening with $60 in his pocket. The man realized that he can survive and make money this way; he started to go out early every
morning ? to sell tomatoes - and return home late, and his money
doubled or tripled everyday.
Shortly afterwards, he bought himself a cart, then a truck, and then
acquired a fleet of delivery vehicles. Five years down the line, the
man became one of the biggest food retailers in the US and when
started to organise his family's affairs and future, he decided to buy
himself a life insurance policy.
He called an insurance broker and chose an appropriate protection
plan. When the purchase transaction was nearing completion, the broker
asked him for his email. The man replied, "I don't have an email."
The broker said, curiously, "You don't have an email!! And yet have
succeeded to build a business empire!! Can you imagine what you could
have become if you had an email?" The man promptly replied, "Yes, I'd be an office boy at Microsoft!"
Moral of the story: Internet / email are not the essential elements of
success in your life. If you don't have internet / email and work as
hard as this man did, you can still have a chance to become a millionaire.
