What's your favorite Hindi Comedy Movie?

(I put Andaz Apna Apna in poll because that seemed to be a popular choice on a similar thread on GH, but I liked BMCM better)

My favorite one from this list has to be Golmaal. Utpal Dutt was simply brilliant in the movie. All the ones listed here are good but there are others that I would like to add to this list

Then Half Ticket.... Kishore Kumar doing what he was best at...... Cheel cheel chilla ke kajri sunaaye......

Then Priyadarshan's Hungama..... The Anjali confusion....... Fabulous....

And Ponga Pandit... From the Kapoors

Gulzar sahab's Angoor based on A Comedy Of Errors..... Sanjeev Kumar proves his mettle again....

All Time Favourite Comedy Movies:-

1) Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron simply the best Black Comedy that Indian cinema has ever produced, I would rate it as a cult movie, If you have not seen the film then my suggestion is to drop everything and get a DVD. The Mahabharat scene is a classic that can not be replicated. Performances by Naseer, Pankaj, Om Puri, Neena Gupta, Satish Kaushik, Vivek Vaswani and not to forget Satish Shah as the corpse are nothing short of Brilliant.

2) Andaz Apna Apna for the way it pokes fun at all genres of Hindi movies. The movie focuses not just on situations but on dialogues too.

Then there are a lot of other movies that deserve mention because they are classics like Half Ticket (Kishore & Pran are brilliant), Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, Padosan, Haseena Maan Jaayegi (Old one.. especially the scene where Mehmood tells his father, played by Om Prakash, a horror story), Hrishikesh Mukherjee Films like Naram Garam, Choti Si Baat, Golmaal etc. Chameli Ki Shaadi (Another classic, Pankaj Kapur is at his brilliant best), Katha, Chashm E Badoor etc etc the list is endless.

Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi is my all time favorite Hindi movie.

In recent movies, I like Hera Pheri too. 1st Munnabhai was good. But not as good as Hera Pheri.

Agree with GF Katha was an excellent movie. That era had a lot of comedy movies which were not of the slapstick kind.

But they abuse Hinduism and India in their every show. so I don't think that, if you have talent in your programmes then you don't need to abuse others

hmm yaar 4/5 movies se kaam nahi chalega probably best of the 50's 60's 70's 80's etc Dilip Kumar,Raj Kapoor and his brothers Shammi,Shashi, Mehmood ..Big B in Don, Kaalia playing a simpleton even Pran in many films lets not forget Kader Khan Jagdeep, Anupam Kher, Paintal, Keshto, Mohan Choti, Rajindernath, Asrani damn big list ....
