Would you let your family know about FZ and your ID here ??
By family, I mean parents/wife/kids.
Personally I would not let them know my ID here.
We use all sorts of language and g/l/c words here which we might seldom use in day to day life. It might be a bit of a shocker to see the type of language which I sometimes use ... specially while giving FT.
Hum log yahan bahut masti mazaak kartey hai aur ho sakta hai agar koi pehli baar apney comments dekhe to woh uska kuch aur matlab nikal de.
I'd like to know your opinions ... Would you let your family know about FZ and your ID here ??

Good topic!
I just ran into this situation 2 days ago. I Have been a bit absent from this site last 3-4 days because we (Me/Wife) went to my in-laws for a family function... One day while I was visiting this site 2 days ago, she came up and asked me what am I doing...I was reading/typing in that post of Biloo "Remix Gana", so I showed it to her...and explained what FZ is about. I showed her my ID and the response to Biloo's post I had made... She burst out laughing and said (in exact words in Gujarati), "Jaana, tu to bahu ja bad nikryo, nahi?" (Jaana, you turned out a real bad-boy, didn't you?), and we both laughed even more at her comment!
That said, I am very fortunate to have a wife who 'digs' my (our/FZ) style of humor and understands that it's all for fun... But I would not reveal my ID to anyone else, not even to closest friends or any other family member.
FF - you are quite right about 'chatters' finding this site boring. That's another reason, I don't mention it to anyone...

My wife knows that I fool around here and about my ID. But she never shown any interest and I think she believes this is GH. Because whenever I crack some bad joke, she looks through the corner of her eyes and says - "must be from GH".

My wife knows about it too. I have explained it that she might see some posts which will have curse words and she understands (glad to have her by my side) and she has an awesome sense of humor.
The kicker was my dad wanted to join fundoo zone when he found out that I am one of the admins of the site. Man!! that was tough to ask him not to join this site;).

My family knows all about my net habits, My husband and the elder one know all my net friends by name. At times they even read what I am typing here or while chatting with someone. They not only know all my nicks but also the passwords to different sites. And I know they will never log on as me on any of the sites that i visit. But when I start ' juli-suli' kind of jokes do I get those rolling eyes and silly smiles. Had told few friends about this site but never really tried to find out if they have actually visited this site.
I guess its different for some men.... had a net friend who would not let his wife know whome all he is chatting with and what all sites he was visiting.
But I dont see the need to hide it from anyone. And I don't find it embrassing either... just because someone is using bad language doesnot make him a bad person. And visiting FZ doesnot really make you a tharki (as some of the members feel )

its no different to real life. Would i willingly let my parents/family overhear all the 'friendly' conversation I have with 'the guyz'. Say from school/college or even workmates?
Jupi shared lots of his shayari with everyone when he came home, obviously we didn't share any 'kewl' jokes :D
I still fw lot of his shayari to my folks.
Similarly, the kind of conversation SS has on this site, I dont think she would mind having the same if anyone met her in person at her home either.

:w00t: Imagine GF's dad --- GodGrandFather here :w00t:
 to those whose wives can digest the G/L/C language.

I'm sure most of the members who use G/L/C words here do not use them in real life conversations ... unless with friends. The anonymity of the net allows us to be what we perhaps cannot in real life. It will be pretty embarassing if your dad/mom/wife found out that you use g/l/c words.
Most of the members here are from the time of GM where the practice of buggering repeats originally started.
If your close ones do not know about this FT "parampara" .... the obsession for FT might indicate that you are gay :w00t:

i have not told anyone in my family about why i log into this site and why do i type stuff here. it is just because no one bothered to ask me. had they asked i would have definitely told them. as for using the g/l/c language, i can use it while talking to my brothers without them frowning about anything that i say and also tthis language is prevalent in my friend circle (although girls mind it but we do not care :D). my argument is exactly like what SS had said earlier.
... just because someone is using bad language doesnot make him a bad person...
but i make sure that i do not end up hurting someone's feelings. i use it with people who i know and i think who know me.

Kyu ki logo ko samaj-sudhar karna hota to koi aur website par nahi jaate?
This is one place where people get to be themselves... most people have skeletons in their closet ...if one's family understands it...then it's icing on a cake... if not... then so be it... at least then one needs this kind of humor away from family even more, wouldn't you say? since that individual cannot be like he/she is on this site in front of their Wife/GF/Friends?

Not all the site have this what they call it as "what's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander". For some including me I come to this site because I have a certain taste in humor which this site can only cater too. My wife though she knows about it doesn't object and she very well understands what kinda language is used sometimes on the site.
No matter what site you go to someone will prop up and use foul language or some other mean to create a mess. In my personal opinion all the active members of this site behave very nicely. (Except during FT;) )
Every family knows that being guys you will use some lanuguage which is appropriate in a certain circle or ppl/friends. They don't object as long as we know how to behave when we are in front of them.
Every one has a wild side and I guess that this site caters to the wild side;)

True!!!! Same way if you meet someone from this site in real life I dont think you would start using foul language...you will be as careful with your words as you will be with anyother person in your real life. No matter how wild you think you are here, I am sure each one of you behaves decently in real life.

dunno which world u r from but the proverbial "guys talk" is mostly (always?) like this and I (we?) dont find it indecent at all as long as its kept between ourselves.
ourselves means people with whom I am comfy giving as well as taking crap
fz is closer to real life guys talk than any other site i'v seen.
i'v met fundoos in real life and at times the experience was no less wilder ( well not as wild as BBR though).
N asking to make a "clean" site is like asking to build a uni where no uni like life is possible but strict parental guidance rules are applied. I dont think it would have many takers.
I wont be there for sure.
anyway as I said before the question is irrelevant as its not unique to just web activity or this site. The way I speak to my friends cant be same as the way I speak to my parents.

Very well said DW
anyway as I said before the question is irrelevant as its not unique to just web activity or this site. The way I speak to my friends cant be same as the way I speak to my parents.
When you are talking to friends, you can be sure no one overhears your conversation, or even if they do they know your talk will be "guys talk".
But when I'm surfing the net at home it is mainly checking mails or searching for some info. It has happened on more than one occassion with me when I'm checking FZ from home, someone pops up from behind and says "kya ho raha hai?".
It becomes very difficult to explain FZ to someone whom I do not want to reveal my identity here. In such cases, I have to close my browser and make some stupid excuse.
Kisi aur ke saath aisa hua hai, Jab aap FZ browse kar rahe ho (sometimes laughing loudly at the creative comments here) aur aapkey dad/mom/someone picche se aake bole "kya ho raha hai ?? kis baat pay hans rahe ho ?? hume bhi bataao ?

SS, this maybe off topic but I suggest u try sitting in a car which Mr. Fundoo is driving at top speed on a single lane state highway in India.
Then compare ur language with BBR's. I am sure posts from BBR will suddenly start sounding like Shakespeare's proses.

Yes. Every one in my family knows about FZ. They know i m admin here. My sister and Wife visits FZ but they not a member here. They just surfs as a guest and says this is not their type of site :D
I hv given link to my friends, cousins etc... but they are more into chatting than forums so even if they hv registered they are not active. Some of the friends who are on other forums but they are not interested in humor forums. They want "other type of fun" which i dont want to start here :D

Excellent thread. Nice comments by everyone. For me personally my wife knows I visit FZ and what FZ is all about and she doesnt have a problem with it because she knows what language i use when conversing with close friends. Actually most of the time we guys use these words to replace day to day mundane words like stupid, idiot ... etc ;)
As far as parents are concerned they probably must be knowing that i use such language but that does not mean i'm going to use the language in front of them or would like to expose them to what i'm writing here not because i am a hypocrite or not because i am ashamed of what i write here but out of respect for them.
These are my two cents on this topic.

Birds of the same feather flock together, many had joined FZ, but are not that much active now. As far as I feel, this is not only a tharaki site but also contains all type of beauty in it. May be technical, good pjs, masala stuff etc etc. That's the beauty of it, and one more thing member here have great SOH, that's rare. Even in few situations, I found, people even don't understand the joke I crack, it's the other thing they come to know the hidden crack in that next day then that ;)
